Came here for Sunday late lunch. 6 of us entered and stood by the door for a minute in a restaurant that had only 3 tables filled. This servers were in their own little group chat with the bar/chefs. finally seated and then for fifteen minutes we were not seen to (still the restaurant has only no more than 5 tables seated). I had to wave them down for attention to get some drinks. drinks took about another fifteen minutes. they also took our starters order and were kind enough to get us one extra snack (portion of 6 in what is typically a portion of 5). food arrived around twenty minutes later. Good food. hot. Well presented. tasty. and the dips were one of the best I've had in any restaurants. When we were pretty much done the service again was slow. no awareness to clear the tables. never came to ask if we wanted a top up on our drinks. when we asked for the bill the staff handed us a receipt but did not return for another fifteen minutes (we again had to wave them down in a non busy setting). problem? the staff are in their own social bubble loitering around the bar chit chatting with the chefs. Poorly trained staff otherwise the food and decor and music and drinks were all pretty damn good. ????♂️
First time having brunch at Arepa, and it was a great experience. Food is tasty and well presented, and this natural juice was yummy. Definitely a fulfilling brunch indeed. Restaurant is not too big indoors but it feels comfortable, and its decor is beautiful. 100% recommendable.
Visited on a Wednesday evening in the middle of May. Had a good experience here. Tried one of the arepas and a cachapa. Both were quite tasty. Also had a lemonade, which was unusually sugary and not super refreshing. Prices seem fair. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and look forward to coming here again to try more of the menu.
Lovely spot. Super friendly staff, delicious and filling food. Our waiter kindly substituted the garlic mayo with a vegan roasted red pepper dip to accommodate my dietary needs as well. Vibey music and atmosphere!
Excellent service with very good and authentic Venezuelan food. I had a complimentary papelon con limon (Venezuelan lemonade with sugar cane, hard to find abroad) tequeños and the arepa Mariana. Everything was so good. The menu is different than the normal Venezuelan restaurants you can find abroad which makes it unique in a sense. The music is great too, there is a lot of light and it can be good either for a chill study time to perfect place to have drinks. It’s pet-friendly (or human friendly as they call it!) and so well decorated. I’m Venezuelan and I’m used to seeing Venezuelan restaurants abroad that are not taken care of and only base their branding on selling food from venezuela —this is the first time I see a Venezuelan restaurant where they actually took the time to make it pretty and attractive for people who are not familiar with our food. 100% recommend it!! Would and will come back (multiple times!)
