I have been studying with Vamos for almost one year now, taking in person classes in London. Its a great school and I would recommend for anyone looking to learn Spanish, I have made so much more progress with my Spanish in that last one year than I did the previous two years trying to teach myself. Both teachers I've had Tatiana and Vicky have always been friendly and enthusiastic about teaching. The classes are fun, well organised and a good mix of speaking, listening and writing. Some extra bonuses are that the school has a nice website where you can review a summary of each class and homework details. It's also possible to take a catch up class if you need to miss a lesson for holiday or any other reason. You can just arrange to join another class for the same lesson you missed, this is a great feature so you don't fall behind. Definitely give Vamos a go!

I called Vamos to tell them that I am interested in taking a class with them and inquired if they offer any trial classes before I book. The guy answering the phone was unhelpful and arrogant to put it nicely "just look at the reviews on our website, we are the best Spanish school in London". I clarified that "if i came off doubting your credibility, that is not my intention, I asked whether of not a trial class is offered because I want to see how the fit is between myself and the class, to feel the vibe of the classroom". He goes "watch the videos on our website, you will get the vibe". A little background about me: I speak 5 languages (4 learned), so I have taken my fair share of languages courses to know how to select a language course. My decision is not to select them, unfortunately just because of this poor customer experience interaction with this man who answered the phone, but I'd rather take my business somewhere else where the staff are professionally trained on addressing common questions from language learners. If the business would like to investigate who was on the shift, my call was around 11:40-50AM on October 14th Friday.

Changed the date of my class to one that i couldn't attend and now refusing to refund me or even answer to communications. The classes are good if you can get on to one that they run, but the customer service is terrible. The first course I attended last year shifted from an afternoon course to early morning, then to add insult to injury they forgot to send the link to log into the class, resulting in my having to get up early for no reason! Despite this I signed up for another class this term, because the teachers themselves are great. Sadly my class once again got shifted to another day, which I cannot attend. After a week of trying to contact them to find out if I can get a refund, I finally get an abrupt response telling me they won't refund me until I return the course materials! Nowhere in their terms and conditions does it state that and their attitude stinks, penalising me for them changing their course dates, with no apology at all. And a week later, still waiting for my refund with no response to my emails. It cost me a fortune to return the books to them, due to their weight and next stage will be to contact my credit card company and claim under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act due to breach of their own terms and conditions. 29th January, still no response and no intention of Vamos refunding me. Please avoid signing up to classes with this company, absolute crooks!

I have been studying Spanish with Vamos for more than three years and it has been a lot of fun, as well as a great learning experience. The teachers are welcoming and enthusiastic and the classes run all year round. You sign up to ten classes at a time, so it’s very flexible. All the classes are run online at present and are a great mix of Spanish conversation, learning activities and a gradual progression in the grammar. There is a real community feel with extra activities on offer, including a film club, Spanish cooking classes and additional free conversation classes once a month. I have found Vamos to be a great place to learn Spanish.

I began studying Spanish with Vamos as a complete beginner in March and I think it has been the best decision I have ever made. The classes are a great mix of written and spoken Spanish and even the grammar is explained in a palatable way! The two teachers I have had are so friendly, enthusiastic and above all patient! Following each class you are sent resumes of what was covered by email which are extremely useful as are the online resources on the Vamos website. The lockdown began on 23rd March and ever since then the classes have been online with Zoom which has worked very well - you really don't feel at a disadvantage not being in a classroom. I would recommend Vamos to anybody studying Spanish at any level - it's the best part of the week!
